Gradeway Backups

Gradeway Teacher's Suite automatically makes a backup copy of your latest classroom file when you exit the program. Up to 10 backups are saved. (Backups and classroom files are generally well less than two or three megabytes; they will not take a substantial amount of space on your computer.)

If your classroom file becomes corrupt for any reason, such as a power outage while working within Gradeway, you may restore your last backup easily, as shown below.

1. Each backup file you currently have is displayed. To restore it, simply highlight it and click the Restore Selected Backup button. Note: This will overwrite your most current database - please use discretion when performing this operation!

2. When you modify fields, delete items, and perform other operations on any information within your class, your classroom file may become less than optimized. This will cause Gradeway to run slower (though usually not noticable) and will make the classroom file increase in size (while still small, this may become noticable.) We recommend you run the Optimize Data operation once per week.
